Balloon Fest 2013

Every year we go home for the annual Balloon Festival in Panguitch, it is one of our favorite thing to do! The kids have so much fun getting up in the morning and watching the balloons launch and we couldn't ask for a better view from G&G Shishes back deck!

Look Daddy Balloons
This was the first year Declan was old enough to know what was going on, and he loved it!
On Saturday evening they line the balloons up in main and center and at dusk they light them up for everyone.

Grandma Fischer is so wonderful to make enough pancakes to feed any army (which when we all get together we kinda are) and we get to eat them out side while watching the balloons!

First Annual Fischer Family Scottish Games

Welcome to the first annual Fischer Family Scottish Games!!
When ever we all get together some sort of competition breaks out, so mom had the great idea after going to the Scottish festival earlier in the month to have our own set of games.
Here is our motley crew of men all ready for the games to begin!

They even had their own cheering section!

First up was the shot put with a  lb rock.

Next was the sack toss, they had to clear a wire and go till the last person could no longer clear it.

Next was everyones favorite the caber toss!

Jordan won that one!
Last was the hammer throw.

Justin cleared the most feet with it but his farthest throw was a scratch unfortunately, so the next furthest was Adrian.
Water break, my honey looks good in a Kilt don't ya think?!

After all the points were tallied the over all winner was ...

Steve!!! Way to go!
I wonder who will win next year!

While the big boys were competing the little kids decided to have their own competition!

(I will add more pictures as I get them)

Mclanes Baptsim

For Mclanes baptism we went home to Panguitch so more of our family could be there to celebrate Mclanes special day.
We had a bit more family come than we originally had thought but that made it even more special.
The baptism and confirmation were at the Panguitch steak center, the Baptism was done by his dad and the confirmation was done by Grandpa Fischer, and all his uncles were in the circle.
Thank you to Uncle Justin Gave the talk on Baptism and Uncle Jordan gave the talk on the Holy Ghost, and Uncle Steve and Drew for the prayers!!

Grandpa Scott and Grandma Carol came out just for this special event.
Uncle Dave and Aunt Joyce just happened to be to that way and were able to come.
Aunt Cindy, Uncle Ross and some of there family were able to come over from Cedar.

We were so glad to have Great grandma Evans and Grandma Cherie there with us!

Congratulations To our sweet Mclane this was a big day for you and we are super proud to call you our son!

Before Mclanes baptism while we were all together and in our Sunday cloths we did a family picture!
