We celebrated Adrian's birthday the Sunday before because he wasn't going to be in town for his actual birthday, I made his favorite dinner, Lasagna and for desert he wanted a frozen chocolate pie that my Aunt Annette makes.

Rave run

This weekend a bunch of friends and I got together to do a 5K in Denver.
This was my first 5K and I was nervous but excited.
It was a lot of fun there were so many people there and in some fun costumes.
It was cold and rained when we first got there but by the time the race started it had cleared up and was actually really nice weather to run in.
After the race it took us all a bit to find each other and then about an other 45 min to find the car.
It was such a fun night and now that I have done it I can't wait to do another one!

Second grade play, Woof!

At our school the second graders get to put on a play and Mclane was super excited to do it!
The play was a musical called "Woof!" he had a small part as Bart Boxer, he only had one line but he made sure he had it memorized and said it perfect!

He did such a good job, we enjoyed watching the play and are so proud of him.

Mclane is also becoming quite the little artist, for school he was learning about flags and their homework was to make a family flag that represented our family. He chose to draw the sammy out in the hills with Kenai, and a camera on the back of the sammi. it represents our love of the out doors, animals and picture taking! The red and blue stripes are for courage and Adrian's military service.

This was a picture I found in his back pack and just wanted to share.

Zoo, Soccer, and the Sammi

A couple weeks ago the weather was nice and warm and some friends, Declan and I got together at the zoo.
This is the newest baby giraffe it was only about 2 months old
Declan loved seeing the giraffes but not feeding them!

Declan chased this poor peacock for about 10 min till it went someplace he couldn't go.

Spring soccer is upon us and Tavin is loving it and doing great at it.
Mclane decided he wanted a break from sports this time.
These picts are of Tavin at his first game. He is becoming quite the player being aggressive after the ball and has even made a few goals!

This last week Adrian has had a little more time to be home as things are slow at work, so he has used that time to get some things dont on the Sammi in hopes that we can take it to Utah this summer.
Declan loves to be out int the garage helping his daddy!

Easter "13

This year Easter and Spring break were at the same time for our boys, so I loaded up with the boys and the dogs and went to Panguitch for a little vacation, adrian was able to fly out a few days later and spent Easter weekend with us. Which was exciting because we didn't think he would get to come out at all.
on the first day there Grandpa and I met up with Steve and his kids and took them to the pool, Sorry no picts I was in the water with the kidos. Then we brought Alex back to Panguitch to spend the rest of the week since he was out for Easter break too.
Friday morning Adrian flew from Colorado to Vegas and I went to St. george to pick him up from the shuttle and spend a little time together. He wasn't supposed to get in till later in the afternoon but we got lucky and his flight got in early and he was able to catch the earlier shuttle.
On Saturday morning we had our usual egg dying fun, Grandma always boils enough eggs so the kids get to color 4 or 5 each.

Jax trying the tie die eggs that Meg made with shaving cream

Mclane making a design with a white crayon before coloring his egg

 Tavin getting some pointers...I think?
 Some of our beautiful eggs

Declan and I trying our best to color eggs with out breaking them

Later that day we went to Kodachrome basin to have our picnic and let the kids Easter egg hunt.
It was a such a fun trip, Jordan and Adrian loaded up all the kids but D and headed out early while Erin, Mom, Dad and I got the picnic things together and headed out after a bit. Justin, Jenni and kids went to spend the day with Jennies family so they didn't come with us.
The kids had a great time hiking and exploring and getting covered in red sand.

Adrian and Declan hiking.
Adrian was the only one who was smart enough to pack shorts, it got a lot warmer out there than we had anticipated.

My cute little Tav hiking along

You meet some of the strangest people out on the hiking trails! ;)

Egg hunting time
Tav helping Declan
Declan wasn't interested in finding eggs and more interested in what was inside, and hiding the eggs he had in the bush behind him!

 The kiddos and their loot.
After hunting eggs and a yummy picnic the kids decided to scale a little mountain over and over.
We will definitely have to go back there soon.
Later that evening Grandma and Grandpa watched the kids so that Erin, Jordan, Katie, Meg, Adrian and I could go out to dinner.
Easter morning came and so did the Easter bunny!
The kids got kites, bubbles and lots of candy!
Mclane and Declan after church in their new Sunday cloths. Tavin wanted to stay for primary class so I didn't get him with the rest of the kids

Aren't they some good looking kids!
 Handsome Tav after primary.

There is always some sort of game or something to compete at when we all get together, this time it was wrestling! It started out with Mclane and Alex showing what they learned in wrestling this year, then well you know... the big kids had to get in on it too!
Erin and I think that is Alyssa she has in a pretzel.
Alyssa and Camri. These girls are tough and very flexible!
Alex showing Alyssa how its done!
 Mclane and Alex
 Erin and Camri
 And last Jordan and Adrian!

Every year G&G have a special giant egg with money in it and since all the grand kids couldn't go to Kodachrome they added some goodies in a bag and hid them on Sunday around the back yard.

Eight out of ten grand kids.
D was down for a nap and Emma was sick.
Another fun Vacation in Panguitch thanks to all that G&G do to make it fun and special for the kids and giving the parents a break!
